Connected Cycling for Sumner & Cully – Open up Sacajawea Park!
Both the Sumner & Cully Association of Neighbors has backed a citizen petition and engaged their district councilors to try to open the red gates in Sacagawea Park. Ultimately this may allow for cyclists to bike through Sacagawea Park where NE Alberta street would otherwise run.
Opening this gate would allow cyclists from Sumner to cross 82nd at NE Alberta with a flashing signal and ride through the park to connect to the Alberta Greenway in Cully, rather than being forced to ride in traffic along Lombard or Prescott, or worse yet Sandy, when headed to or from the city center.
