The 2026 SAN elections will take place on Thursday May 21st at 6:30pm at the Recovery Cafe space located at 3516 NE 71st Portland OR 97213.
Shape Sumner’s future by running for a board position, or simply by voting! Your participation can bring positive change and strengthen our community spirit, making our neighborhood an even better and safer place to call home. Board experience also provides leadership development, mentorship, and friendship. No experience required, bring your passion for Sumner!
Positions you can run for and/or to be voted on are: (All are 2 year terms)
- Vice Chair: Shall assist the chairperson; in the chairperson’s absence shall function as chairperson.
- Secretary: Records meeting minutes and assists chair.
- D1EC Delegate: Shall represent the association at all meetings of the neighborhood coalition board meetings.
- Member at Large: Responsibilities are fluid and adapt to the association’s current needs and priorities, to include leading or participating on committees.
