Nov 24: Tri-Met driver re-unites tot with mom
Good news that could have turned out very differently. Thanks to Mr Silverman! Per KATU:
A sharp-eyed TriMet driver said it was second nature to stop and help after he spotted a small child in the road Tuesday morning. Richard Silverman, a 15-year veteran, said he was turning the corner near Northeast 82nd and Killingsworth Street when he saw something in the road and realized a small child was in the street. It was raining at the time.

Dec 8: Another nasty wreck, this time at NE 82nd and Killingsworth
Per the Oregonian:
Around 6 a.m, Portland firefighters were dispatched. They used hydraulic spreaders, rams and cutters to extricate two of the drivers, who were taken in ambulances to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
Dec 11: Report of shots fired, NE 82nd and Prescott
Per the Oregonian:
Police were called to the 4500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Sunday on a report of gunshots being fired. Once on the scene, officers determined one shot was fired into an occupied residence, but no one was injured. Witnesses were unable to provide adequate suspect information, police said.
Dec 17: Spill and fire at the glass plant
Our friends at the Owens-Illinois glass factory decided to give The Grotto some competition. (Just kidding.) The report sounds kind of scary, but no one got hurt. Pretty cool photos though.
Per KGW:
Fire crews were called to help contain a spill at a Portland plant, where a kettle holding more than 200 tons of molten glass had split at the bottom.
