Our neighborhood meeting is tomorrow — Tuesday, June 21 — and we have two big topics with guest speakers:

• ODOT manager Doug Holley will address questions about the SAN lot and other nearby ODOT properties. (He rescheduled from last month.)
• Helensview principal Kris Persson and Sgt Tom Hunt of the Portland Police Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) will discuss the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) training scheduled for Thursday, June 23, at Helensview High School.
• We’ll hold SAN board elections for secretary and at large positions. (Interest has been expressed in at least one other seat. Under our bylaws, the board can make appointments to vacant seats.)

I’ll also share details about the Sandy Blvd sidewalk grant (if we have time and anyone is interested).
