Trees planted included maples, elms, oaks, magnolias, apples and asian pears. Beautiful young trees. Some neighbors got them for as little as $20 each.
Special thanks goes to Sumner resident Eric Wiley, who not only got our neighborhood involved, but also acted as neighborhood coordinator for all six neighborhoods participating in Saturday’s tree planting event.
Friends of Trees is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. We hope they’ll come back to Sumner next year. For more information about them and future tree planting events, visit the Friends of Trees website.
