PORTLAND, Ore. — Police are searching for two men who held up a lottery deli in northeast Portland.
Officers were called to the Dotty’s at 8227 N.E. Sandy Blvd. at about 10 p.m. Sunday after a report of two masked men robbing the establishment.
The men were armed with guns and ordered customers and workers to the ground, customers said.
They escaped with thousands of dollars in cash after stealing money from the till, safe and from customers.
More info at the KPTV site, the KOIN site, and the KATU site.
The Dotty’s here in SE was held up a couple of months ago. (The one next to Sweetness Bakery on 52nd Ave.)
There have also been recent holdups at Dotty’s locations in Beaverton and Wilsonville.
Btw, Dotty’s is a huge chain that makes a pile of money, almost entirely from the Lottery. (See http://www.portlandtribune.com/news/story.php?story_id=31497 )
Sorry about the link in my previous comment. If you click through it sends you to the Tribune’s front page, but if you paste the url into your browser it brings up the article I intended, which is about the Dotty’s chain.
No problem. I fixed your link (the closing bracket broke it), so it should work correctly now.
